News about Vetren dol

The first day of the year of 2013 people of Vetren dol had a great celebration at the square in the center of the village.
The mayor welcomed the people with wishes for a lucky and successful year for everyone.
The musicians sang folk songs and the people danced a long horo.
Folk mummers, called "kukeri", were wearing interesting costumes. They entertained the others as every year according to the old tradition. And of course the got prize money for the effort.
The moment that everyone was waitig for, was the traditional New Year raffle. Many prizes went to the lucky ones, and the biggest one - LCD TV became the property of Ivan Zelengorov.
